There is something so special about photographing a family for the first time as they become a family of three.

I first photographed Samantha and Luke during their engagement session at Reverchon Park, Samantha’s studio bridal portraits at the Lumen Room, then their Stonebriar Country Club wedding day, and most recently their maternity session at White Rock Lake as they waited for their baby girl to arrive. And now, I finally got to meet sweet Addison.

She is every bit as darling as you could hope.

Their newborn session was filled with the quiet, tender moments that make this season so special – tiny fingers, sleepy stretches, sweet cuddles, and the way Samantha and Luke already seem completely wrapped around their little girl.

There is such a beautiful tenderness in watching new parents discover their baby. Every little expression is new. Every snuggle feels worth remembering. And somehow, even in the middle of those hazy newborn days, it is already clear just how deeply this little girl is loved.

After documenting so many chapters of Samantha and Luke’s story, it felt especially meaningful to photograph this one. Their engagement, their wedding, the anticipation of becoming parents, and now the three of them together.

Addison, you are so very loved.

Samantha and Luke, thank you for allowing me to continue documenting your family as it grows. It is such a privilege to preserve these early days with your beautiful baby girl, and I hope these photographs always bring you back to just how sweet this beginning was.
