There is something especially sweet about photographing a couple through different seasons of their life. I first photographed Maycie and Travis for their Arlington Hall & Turtle Creek Park engagement session, Maycie’s Perkins Chapel Bridal Portraits, then their beautiful Perkins Chapel and Adolphus wedding, and now I get to photograph them as they prepare to become parents.

These Dallas Arboretum pregnancy announcement photos felt like such a natural continuation of their story.

The Dallas Arboretum was the perfect setting for this season – lush gardens, beautiful pathways, and plenty of quiet little corners for the two of them to simply enjoy being together. And while there were plenty of photographs celebrating the exciting news, some of my favorite moments were the ones that felt the most ordinary: the way they looked at each other, the laughter, and those little moments of anticipation as they begin to imagine life with their baby.

It is always an honor when a couple trusts me to photograph more than just one milestone. I loved documenting Maycie and Travis on their wedding day, surrounded by family and friends and celebrating the beginning of their marriage. Getting to photograph them again as they prepare to welcome their first baby feels incredibly special.

From Perkins Chapel and The Adolphus to the gardens of the Dallas Arboretum, their story continues to grow – and I cannot wait to see where it takes them next.

Congratulations, Maycie and Travis. What a beautiful season to celebrate.
