Turner Family Maternity Session at White Rock Lake’s Winfrey Point | Dallas Newborn Photographer

When I first met Samantha and Luke for their engagement session at Reverchon Park, they were dreaming about the wedding day that lay ahead. Since then, I’ve had the joy of photographing Samantha’s studio bridal portraits at the Lumen Room, celebrating alongside them as they became husband and wife at their Stonebriar Country Club Wedding, and now documenting the anticipation of their greatest adventure yet – becoming parents.

Meeting them at Winfrey Point on a warm evening at White Rock Lake felt both familiar and new. Familiar because of the ease we’ve built over the years, and new because this season carries a different kind of excitement. Every glance, every smile, every quiet moment together is now shared with the little life they’re eagerly waiting to meet.

One of the greatest privileges of my work is walking alongside couples as their lives grow and change. These photographs become so much more than beautiful images. They become the beginning of a family’s history – moments their children will one day look back on and see just how deeply they were loved before they ever arrived.

There’s something especially meaningful about maternity sessions. They hold the anticipation of what’s to come while preserving the last moments of life exactly as it is. In just a few short weeks, everything will be different in the sweetest possible way.

I already know this baby is arriving in a home overflowing with love.
