Spencer and Katherine’s wedding at Brookhaven Country Club was such a beautiful reminder that even rainy wedding days hold so much beauty. The entire day felt soft, romantic, and deeply joyful – the kind of celebration where everyone simply felt grateful to be there witnessing the beginning of a marriage.

Getting to photograph Spencer and Katherine again after their engagement session at Flippen Park and Prather Park made this wedding even more meaningful. From the very beginning, they were so easy to be around – kind, genuine, joyful, and completely comfortable together. Their engagement session was filled with laughter and sweet quiet moments, and their wedding day carried that same warmth from start to finish.

Rain fell through much of the day, but instead of taking away from anything, it somehow made the celebration feel even cozier and more intentional. Guests gathered closely together, everyone embraced the changes in plans with so much grace, and the entire day felt centered on what mattered most – Spencer and Katherine becoming husband and wife.

Then, almost unbelievably, the sun broke through the clouds for just a few minutes after the ceremony, giving us the most beautiful light for bride and groom portraits. Those moments felt especially meaningful after such a rainy day – soft sunlight, fresh air after the rain, and the sweetest newly married joy between the two of them. Some of my favorite portraits from the entire day happened in those few short minutes.

Katherine was an absolutely stunning bride, and every detail of the day reflected such timeless elegance. Brookhaven Country Club was such a beautiful setting for their celebration, and their reception was full of joyful energy, heartfelt moments, and a packed dance floor by the end of the night.
