Some sessions feel especially meaningful, and Hailee’s bridal portraits are one I’ll treasure for a long time.

I’ve had the joy of documenting more than one chapter of Andy and Hailee’s story. Last year, I photographed the moment Andy proposed, and getting to witness the beginning of their engagement made these bridal portraits feel even more special. There is something incredibly meaningful about watching a love story unfold one season at a time.

For her bridal session, we met at The Lumen Room in Dallas, where the soft natural light created the perfect backdrop for her timeless gown and joyful spirit. Every detail reflected Hailee so beautifully – elegant without feeling overdone, classic while still full of personality.

One of my favorite details from the morning was her stunning bouquet by Blackhouse Blooms. Overflowing with vibrant summer color and the most beautiful peonies, the florals brought so much life and movement to every portrait. They complemented her gown perfectly while adding a joyful, artistic touch that made the images feel uniquely hers.

Of course, no session would have been complete without Hailee’s dog, Winnie. She joined us for a few portraits wearing the sweetest custom floral collar created by Blackhouse Blooms to coordinate with Hailee’s bouquet. It was such a thoughtful touch and the perfect way to include one of the most beloved members of their little family. Those portraits are some of my favorites from the day and will always be such a sweet reminder of this season of life before Andy and Hailee become husband and wife.

What I loved most, though, was simply getting to slow down together before the excitement of the wedding day. Bridal portraits offer a rare opportunity to breathe, celebrate this season of anticipation, and create beautiful heirloom images without the timeline pressures that naturally come with a wedding day. It is always one of my favorite parts of the wedding experience, but even more so when the bride is a dear friend, and her husband is one that we have long prayed for!
