Lauren & Andrew’s Wedding at Whiskey Ranch | Dallas Wedding Photographer
It was pouring down rain the morning of Lauren & Andrew’s wedding. The roads were flooded, the skies were dark, and it wasn’t looking good for an outdoor ceremony. But, immediately after I arrived at the venue, the rain stopped and the sun peeked out from behind the clouds. Whiskey Ranch looked lovely in the spring sun, covered in gorgeous florals from Kate Foley Designs and the beautiful details picked out by the couple. But, it was nothing compared to how stunning the bride looked!!
Lauren and Andrew are two of the most kind, dear people I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. The way that Andrew looked at Lauren throughout the day (their first look melted my heart!) was so full of tenderness and love. You could tell he just kept thinking about how lucky he was. This wedding was extra special because of the family that it created. The precious moments between Andrew & Lauren and the girls were my favorites throughout the day (just wait until you see the ones of Lauren with her new daughters… so much love between them!).
Lauren was incredibly thoughtful in the special touches and heirlooms that she used throughout their wedding day. Her bouquet had a broach from her grandmother on it, and she had two red roses at the end of their ceremony aisle to represent her grandparents. She thoughtfully gifted embroidered handkerchiefs to her parents before her wedding, and had a tender moment of prayer with her bridesmaids before walking down the aisle. Her mother hand crafted the embroidery ring carried down the aisle by the ring bearer, and she wore her sweet friend’s earrings. For their unity element, they blended whiskey into a whiskey barrel, and they shared vows that they had written themselves (which had everyone in tears!!).
