So! I wanted to create something to help you take the images you capture during those moments and enhance them so they look more professional, true to life, and like images you're proud to have that document your engagement season.
Enter the SKP Engagement Season Presets. You can download the free Lightroom Mobile app, import these presets and use them whenever you'd like. I hope you love them!
There are so many sweet moments that happen during the engagement season. From the proposal itself to the engagement party, the bridal showers, the bachelorette party... and then there's all the fun wedding planning events (the dress fittings and cake tastings and registry events!). So many special moments that are worth documenting and hanging on to. While it would be nice to have a professional photographer follow you around for all these important events, that's impossible!
What is a preset? A preset is a configuration of settings in Lightroom created to enhance your photo. Basically, it's like an editable filter so you can take images you take on your iPhone and make them look more like real life!
Here's how to use an SKP Engagement Season preset on your iPhone!
1. Download the Lightroom Mobile App.
2. Download the Preset File (linked above) to your phone.
3. Add the Preset File to the Lightroom App by pressing the +, and adding the file from Camera Roll.
4. Select and open the SKP Brides Preset.
Now, we're going to store the Preset Settings in Lightroom so you can quickly apply the preset to images whenever you'd like!
5. Click on the "..." in the top right corner.
6. Select "Copy Settings" and click the Check Mark in the top right corner.
7. Click on the image you want to edit in the Lightroom Library.
8. Click on the "..." in the top right corner.
9. Select "Paste Settings."
10. Click on "Create Preset" in the "..." menu to add this preset to your Lightroom Preset Collection.
11. Adjust the exposure & contrast (in the Light Panel) and white balance (the temperature & tint sliders in the Color Panel).
12. Next time you want to use the preset, just select the photo you'd like to edit, go to the Presets Panel on the bottom menu, and click the SKP Brides preset!
PRO TIP: Always adjust the white balance so that skin tones look as close to real life as possible. Do this by clicking the Color Panel and adjusting the temperature & tint sliders.
