Samantha & Connor’s Highland Park engagement session at Flippen Park and Prather Park was such a joy to photograph. These two were effortlessly sweet together, and the entire evening felt timeless in the best way – soft spring light, beautiful gardens, and the classic charm that makes Highland Park one of my favorite places in Dallas for engagement portraits.

One of my favorite parts of this session was that they brought along their dog for part of the evening. Including meaningful pieces of your everyday life always makes an engagement session feel even more personal, and it was so sweet seeing the three of them together. Their pup added such a fun and joyful element to the session, and some of those images ended up being favorites from the evening.

Flippen Park and Prather Park are always beautiful backdrops for engagement sessions, but this evening felt especially dreamy. Between the blooming flowers, winding paths, and quiet corners tucked throughout Highland Park, every spot seemed made for documenting this sweet season of life together. Samantha & Connor were so natural with one another, making every image feel genuine, joyful, and full of anticipation for the marriage they are beginning.

One of my favorite things about engagement sessions is simply slowing down with couples before the wedding day arrives. It gives us a chance to celebrate this season, get comfortable together before the wedding, and create photographs that feel true to who they are. Samantha & Connor brought so much warmth and joy to their Dallas engagement session, and it was such an honor to capture these memories for them.

As a Highland Park wedding photographer, I always love photographing sessions at Flippen Park and Prather Park because they offer such a classic Dallas feel while still feeling romantic and intimate. The beautiful landscaping, elegant architecture, and peaceful atmosphere make these parks perfect for couples wanting timeless engagement photos in Dallas.

I am already so excited for their wedding next April at Christ the King Catholic Church followed by a celebration at Warwick Melrose Dallas. It is going to be such a beautiful and classic Dallas wedding day, and I cannot wait to document it all for them.
