There are few things I love more than walking alongside a family through multiple chapters of their story. Getting to photograph this sweet family again – this time as they welcomed baby Lucia – felt like such a full-circle moment.

It’s been such a joy to document them during their maternity season with their first baby and their sweet son’s newborn session, and now, returning to their home to photograph baby Lucia felt incredibly special.

There’s something so meaningful about in-home newborn sessions. Your home holds the spaces where real life unfolds – the nursery you carefully prepared, the chair where you cuddle your baby during early mornings, the soft window light that fills the rooms where you’re learning the rhythm of this new season. Photographing families in that space allows the images to feel deeply personal and authentic.

Lucia was an absolute dream during her session. She slept peacefully in her parents’ arms, occasionally stretching those tiny fingers and toes that make newborns so impossibly sweet. Her big brother was already so curious and gentle with her, leaning in to peek at his new baby sister and proudly stepping into his role as the big sibling.

Those sibling moments are always some of my favorites: the way little ones study their new baby brother or sister with wonder, offering careful hugs and kisses that are both tender and a little unsure. It’s such a beautiful glimpse of a relationship just beginning.

What made this session even more meaningful for me was remembering their journey. From maternity portraits to their son’s newborn session, and now Lucia’s arrival, it has been such an honor to document these milestones as their family grows.

Photographing families over the years is truly one of the greatest gifts of my work. These photographs become more than just portraits – they become the visual story of a family being built, one season at a time.

Sweet Lucia, you are already so loved. It was such a joy capturing these first moments of your life and the beautiful family who welcomed you into the world.
