Kaylee & Michael’s wedding at Watermark Community Church was SO full of joy and love and laughter and I am so excited to share a few of my favorites from their beautiful day!
From the Chik-fil-a milkshakes that Michael surprised his bride with at their first look to the time of worship the bridal party shared to the sweet ceremony officiated by the bride’s father, there were so many special moments, and it’s hard to choose a favorite!! The florals were one of my favorite touches – so full of color and joy – just wait until you see the gorgeous arch that Pearls & Poppies created for the ceremony!
Kaylee & Michael, wow. The Lord was made much of on your wedding day, and the celebration of your marriage was so very sweet. I hope you love these previews of your wedding day!! You two are so wonderful, and I absolutely loved capturing your love story. Can’t wait to get your full gallery to you soon!!

P.S. I just have to share the sweet story that Kaylee shared on their wedding website of their love story!! Tell me if this doesn’t give you all the heart eyes!
We met at the North Carolina State Fair, in October of 2018. I had just moved to Raleigh for work and was attending with new seminary friends; Michael was hanging with different seminary friends from Southeastern where he had started in the fall. He was rocking a Hawaiian shirt, visor, and trash ‘stache when our friend groups overlapped and it was love at first sight… for Michael and my guy friends! The actual fireworks had more going on than we did! My infamous first impression of Michael was “the goofy extrovert who will be really fun but I’ll never actually have a relationship with”… they say God laughs, amiright.
Over the next several months, we continued to overlap in friend groups and eventually made it to Walmart, Sonic, and finally a “first” date at a UNC-Gonzaga basketball game in December. I commented on the match-up zone defense Gonzaga had switched into, and it was game over for Michael! I took a little more convincing, but continued to be surprised by how much more there was to the “goofy extrovert” I was having so much fun with. There was a day when I realized I wanted him around, and so said “yes” to the official “Will you be my girlfriend” question Michael asked in February 2019 when we DTRed at Jason’s Deli 😉
Two months later, I took off to Milwaukee and then to Charleston for my job rotations. About a year of long-distance later, Michael came down to Charleston right before our one-year anniversary and asked me to marry him… I said yes once again! It was wonderful and we are thrilled at the gift of each other and so eager for the purpose and lessons and fun to come.
