There is something so special about welcoming a first baby home, and Blair’s newborn session was full of the sweetest details. From the feminine, vintage-inspired touches in her nursery to the thoughtful little details woven throughout her space, every corner felt so carefully considered and full of love.

After meeting Kaitlin and Justus for their announcement session at Arlington Hall and then documenting their maternity session at White Rock Lake, it was such a joy to see them again with their beautiful baby girl in their arms. There is something especially meaningful about getting to document both seasons, from the anticipation of waiting to meet your little one to the quiet, wonder-filled days of finally having them home.

Kaitlin and Justus were completely smitten with Blair, and it was so sweet to watch them settle into this new chapter together. Their home was filled with all the little things that make these early days so memorable, including a nursery that felt equal parts feminine, timeless, and vintage, and a very cute puppy who was part of the family’s excitement, too.

These first days at home pass in a blur. The tiny fingers, the sleepy stretches, the way you find yourself memorizing every little feature of the baby you have waited so long to meet. I love being able to preserve these moments in the place where so much of your family’s story is just beginning.
