Kaitlin & Justus’s Maternity Session | Dallas Family Photographer

There is something so special about photographing a family as they grow, especially when I get to be there for more than one chapter of their story.

I first photographed Kaitlin and Justus for their pregnancy announcement, and now, just a little while later, I had the joy of meeting them again for their maternity session at White Rock Lake’s Winfrey Point. This time, their sweet pup came along too, making the evening even more special.

With their first baby on the way, this season feels full of so much anticipation. We spent the evening soaking in the beautiful light, enjoying the quiet moments together, and capturing the excitement of becoming a family of three – with their dog officially stepping into the role of big sibling.

I love that maternity sessions can be so much more than photos of an expectant mama. They are a chance to remember the two of you exactly as you were before everything changed, the little details of this season, and the anticipation of meeting the baby you’ve already begun to love so much.

And for Kaitlin and Justus, this isn’t the last time I’ll be documenting their story. I cannot wait to photograph their newborn session once their little one arrives and see them step into this next chapter together.

From their announcement to maternity photos to their baby’s first days, it is such an honor to be invited back again and again to document these meaningful seasons for a family. I already know their newborn session is going to be incredibly special.
