There is something especially sweet about welcoming a new baby into a family when there is a little more space between siblings. Mary Frances’s newborn session was such a beautiful reminder of just how special that relationship can be.

From the moment I saw her older sister with her, it was so clear how completely adored Mary Frances already is. She was so gentle and affectionate with her new baby sister, and I loved watching all of those little moments between them. There is something incredibly tender about seeing an older sibling step into this new role – especially when they have had so many years as the center of their parents’ world.

I loved having this sweet family in front of my camera for such an important season. Newborn sessions are always about more than just photographs of a tiny baby. They are about documenting the feeling of a family growing and changing – the sleepy cuddles, the tiny details, and the relationships that are just beginning to take shape.

Mary Frances is already so loved, and I have no doubt that growing up with a big sister who adores her will be one of the sweetest gifts of her childhood.

It was such an honor to preserve these memories for their family, and I loved every minute of this beautiful newborn session.
