There is something especially meaningful about getting to photograph a couple not just at the beginning of their marriage, but as their story continues to unfold into family. Watching this sweet season come full circle – from their engagement session at the Nasher Sculpture Center to the quiet intimacy of bridal portraits at the Dallas Country Club, to their rehearsal dinner at Brook Hollow Country Club to their wedding at Highland Park Presbyterian Church & the Dallas Country Club to their maternity session at Lakeside Park and to now welcoming their baby at home – felt like such an honor.
Their in-home newborn session in Highland Park was quiet, tender, and full of the kind of joy that doesn’t need to be loud to be deeply felt. The soft morning light, the familiar spaces, and the way they held their baby with such care all told the story so beautifully. These are the days that pass quickly, but hold so much significance – the beginning of a new rhythm, a growing family, a love that has multiplied.
One of my favorite parts of what I do is walking alongside my couples through each chapter. From engagement, to wedding day, to motherhood and fatherhood – it is a gift to preserve these moments in a way that will be remembered for generations. These images are more than just photographs; they are a glimpse into the very beginning of their child’s story, held safely within the home they’ve built together.
It is such a joy to celebrate this next chapter with them.
