Nolan and Rachel’s wedding in Grosse Pointe, Michigan was one of the loveliest I have been to for oh so many reasons. It was especially sweet because these two are dear friends of ours, and Matt was in the wedding! The ceremony was at the Grosse Pointe Academy Chapel, an incredibly ornate and stunning space of worship, followed by cocktail hour and reception at The War Memorial.
Each part of the Boydas’ wedding day was elegant, classic, and beautiful. Rachel was an absolutely stunning bride, and the way Nolan looked at her was the way every bride dreams of being looked at.
There were so many special moments on their wedding day, that it’s hard to choose just one to share about, but this one stands out to me the most, and it’s even sweeter because it was one of the quietest moments of the day. The videographer (the amazing Timothy Scott) had Rachel read the letter that she had written to Nolan for his video. Her words were eloquent and full of intention, and the overwhelming emotion she felt when she thought about her relationship with Nolan and looked forward to their lives together was a perfect picture of marriage. Beautiful, imperfect, adventurous, and abundantly full. I will never forget the sweetness of that moment.
Nolan and Rachel, being a small part of the start of your marriage was an honor. Your family is incredible, and you are both so very loved. You are kind, selfless, and wonderful people. Matt and I are so lucky to call you friends. Congratulations on your marriage, Mr. & Mrs. Boyda!
