The weather in Dallas can be unpredictable. I woke up at 5 am the morning of Lauren & Kirby’s wedding to high winds, hail, and thunder. It wasn’t looking good for an outdoor wedding ceremony. Just a few hours later, the clouds cleared, the rain stopped, the sun came out, and it was the most beautiful spring day I can remember! Unpredictable, lovely, and absolutely perfect!!
Last May, I met Lauren & Kirby, photographed their engagement session at Trinity Groves, and began getting to know these two kind, wonderful people. Lauren has the gift of making you feel instantly known and cared for… she is thoughtful, bubbly, and made the most beautiful bride (just scroll down to see what I’m talking about!!). On their wedding day, I felt as though I was photographing not just clients, but dear friends, because that’s who Lauren & Kirby are. They never met a stranger, and I’m so grateful that I’ve gotten the chance to know them.
The McKinney Cotton Mill was the perfect setting for their March wedding. Lauren glowed in a David’s Bridal gown with hair & makeup by Beauty for Ashes Hair. The entire day was planned to perfection by Swan 7 Productions. Uptown Sound kept the party going late into the night, the cake & groom’s cake by Bliss Cupcakes was stunning, and the bride’s company, Grounded, filled the Cotton Mill with the loveliest greenery & florals.
Lauren & Kirby, what an incredible blessing you are to your family, friends, and each other. I’m so thankful for the chance to be present on your wedding day to celebrate the start of your beautiful marriage together. I hope these photos remind you how very special you both are and how valuable the covenant of marriage is. Love you to pieces!
