Welcome to What I’m Loving in August! YAY! At the end of each month, I share things that I’m loving right now, in the hopes that maybe there’s something new you can try. If you’re up for it, I’d love to hear what you’re loving!! Shoot me a message of something new for me to try, or leave a reply at the bottom of the post!

1. Hatch Fest at Central Market
Every year, people become obsessed with hatch chiles during August. I’ve never gotten on board with this infatuation. UNTIL NOW. Hatch Gouda changed my life, and their Garlic Hatch Waffle Cut Potato Chips and Hatch Cheddar Biscuits… y’all. So amazing. But, best of all, is their Hatch Cheddar Popcorn. It’s so amazing. And it’s less than $2. If you’ve read What I’m Loving last month, you’ll know I love popcorn. But this popcorn is actually the BEST. And? It’s available all year long at Central Market & HEB – not just during Hatch Fest! Go get a bag! I promise you won’t regret it!

2. Running with Matt
Matt and I signed up for a Half Marathon with our community group in December. It’s been too hot to run outside (if PSLs are back, why is it still 105 outside?!), so we’ve been using the treadmills in our apartment gym. Our freshman year of college, we ran a half marathon together, and it was such a fun experience to train with one another! It’s been fun & so motivating, so I’m looking forward to the rest of our training program. Also – if you have tips on surviving this thing, please send them my way!!

3. Trader Joe’s Pizza Dough
Raise your hand if you’re on a budget!🙋🏻♀️ Raise your hand if at the end of the month, you’re like, oops! 🙋🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ This last week, Matt & I needed an affordable date night option, so we decided on a night in with pizza & a movie. We’d heard good things about Trader Joe’s pizza dough, so we decided to try it out, and it’s like $1 for a bag of dough. $1!!!! And it’s so good (although I didn’t love their pizza sauce… definitely worth the time to make it from scratch). It was so much fun to do together, and the pizza was sooo yummy. Each bag of dough makes either one giant pizza or two medium-ish pizzas, so there are plenty of leftovers if you get a couple bags.

4. Belvoir
Not much I need to say here. If you haven’t tried a Belvoir, you have to!! This one is my favorite – Elderflower and Rose Lemonade, but they have lots of yummy flavors. So refreshing! And pretty!!

5. Loved & Found Box
There is something so lovely about a beautiful, thoughtfully curated gift! Loved & Found Boxes are so thoughtfully created, and they have them for just about every occasion you can think of – from wedding gifts to birthday presents to thinking of you treats. Just scrolling through their website got me all inspired. Below are a few photos I took of their Seaside Box! Such a dreamy gift, right?!

6. The Dallas Arboretum
Matt & I joined the Arboretum last year, but we haven’t gone nearly enough. We’re starting to go more frequently, and on Monday morning (Matt doesn’t work Mondays, and I loveeee it! #MattMondays), we took a breakfast picnic (yummy chocolate croissants & Starbucks) to the Arboretum, and it was so lovely! Plus, I have a wedding there this weekend, so I’m excited to get to photograph a sweet couple at such a gorgeous venue!

7. Bloom Bash
Earlier this month, I attended the Bloom Bash Workshop at Mercury Hall in Austin. From floral arranging with The Heirloom Table to learning brush lettering with Simply Jessica Marie to business & social media classes and an amazing styled shoot, it was such a dreamy few days that I’ll be motivated by for a long time! I’ll be sharing more about this amazing experience soon, but for now, be sure to check out their website!

8. Meeting New Vendor Friends
Another really great part about this month has been meeting so many inspiring creatives and making friends with different types of wedding vendors. I’m so thankful to be able to be a full-time wedding photographer. It’s just the BEST job and the best community to be a part of!
Emily (this pretty lady to the left!), is the face behind Emily Kaye Designs, a wonderful floral design company. I recently got to chat with her about her work and her life, and do a few quick photos for her. It’s sweet little opportunities like this that have kept me so inspired this past month!
