I say it all the time, but it’s true. I have the best clients. Nicholas & Samantha’s engagement session in downtown Dallas reminded of just that. These cuties are obviously head over heels in love, but even more than that, they are more excited for their marriage than their wedding day. And that is such a beautiful thing!!

While I was planning my wedding, I felt the weight of wanting every detail to be perfect and the expectation that this would be the best day of my life. If you think about it, that idea is a little depressing. If your wedding day is the best day of your life, what does that say about marriage? Yeesh. What good news it is to recognize that a marriage is more important than a wedding day – and even more beautiful! What a relief! And how refreshing to listen to Nicholas & Samantha as they talked about their wedding day, about their marriage, and about the life they are planning together.
