Casey & Taylor’s wedding at The Thompson Hotel and Zion Lutheran Church was the most joyful, beautiful celebration of the sweetest couple. I am SO excited to share my favorites from such an amazing Dallas wedding day!
I cry at pretty much every wedding I photograph. That’s nothing new. I love all of my couples, and witnessing & documenting their most special moments is an honor, and their big moments give me all the feels. But never have I ever cried while editing a wedding…. until now!!
Casey and Taylor are wonderfully special people. They are genuinely kind, truly in love, and simply the best. You can’t know them without loving them. Getting to capture their love story (from engagements to bridals to their wedding day) and see their relationship up close is so sweet for many reasons, but my favorite reason is because of what Casey and I share with my baby girl! Casey is an amazing L&D nurse, and I was so lucky to have her with me all night long while I labored with Annie.
Casey will deny it over and over again (because she is literally the kindest person in the world), but I’m quite convinced I was not an easy patient to care for. While I was laboring with Annie, I could not stay in bed. I had to be moving – pacing my room, bouncing on a birthing ball, standing beside the bed. She was so patient – she found me a monitor that would allow me to walk, she helped me move around, she let me squeeze her hand when a contraction was super tough. She loved me and cared for me selflessly. To have Casey as your nurse, and to have her in your life in any capacity, is an absolute gift. Taylor, you are a lucky man to have such a woman to walk through life with. Hailee (who introduced me and Casey in the first place, and guided me through Annie’s birth), you and Casey are two peas in a pod. I could not be more grateful.
This wedding day was not only beautiful because of the florals or decor or the gown (all of which were absolutely stunning), but because of the love, the tradition, and the meaning that each moment held. Casey & Taylor shared their vows in the church where Taylor’s parents were married many years ago, building on their legacy with thoughtful intention. The reception at The Thompson Hotel was full of so many dear friends and family ready to celebrate big – because this marriage is one worth a tremendous celebration! From this stunning bride to the white florals to the dapper groom, there were too many lovely details to count – see my favorites from this lovely wedding day below!
