Jenny & Daniel’s wedding in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at The James Grace House and St. John’s Catholic Church was beautiful and such a graceful southern affair. It was an absolute joy to photograph the start of this sweet couple’s marriage. You might remember Jenny & Daniel from their Arbor Hills Nature Preserve engagement session, where I first saw how in love this couple was!
Their day started with the bride & bridesmaids getting ready at the adorable Sugar Cain Inn. Historic and lovely, it was the perfect spot for the bride to relax, sip champagne, and get pampered by Godal Beauty! Jenny had so many thoughtful details, from the locket that has been worn by the women in her family on their wedding days for generations to her mother’s rosary tied around her bouquet to the glittery Kate Spade Keds that served as her something blue.
The ceremony took place at St. John’s Catholic Church, where generations of Jenny’s family have been married. The sentimentality of this tradition was so meaningful, and you could feel the significance in the air as Daniel and Jenny made their vows to one another in the same place as so many who came before them.
After the ceremony, the party began at the James Grace House. Full of dancing, good food, and so much joy, it was such a wonderful celebration of an amazing couple! Jenny & Daniel, I don’t even know what to say! Getting to know you both, see how you love and support each other, and having the honor of capturing the start of your marriage was so special. I hope these previews of your wedding photos remind you of how lucky you are to have found each other!
